Last week, the ReEnergize Cusco team had the incredible opportunity to lead the Recovery Zone for Nike’s Run Camp, held in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, in Urubamba. This high-altitude training camp brought together over 30 elite and emerging athletes from across South America, all focused on pushing their limits and improving performance at elevation.
Nike’s camp schedule was intense, with multiple training sessions each day designed to challenge both endurance and recovery capacity. Our mission was clear: to help athletes recover faster, train harder, and stay injury-free throughout the week.
To support their performance and well-being, we provided a full-service recovery suite, including:
Four professional massage therapists delivering deep tissue, sports, and assisted-stretching treatments tailored to each athlete’s needs.
Two mild hyperbaric oxygen chambers to aid in muscle recovery, reduce inflammation, and improve adaptation to altitude.
A cold plunge station for rapid muscle recovery and inflammation control.
Compression therapy boots to enhance circulation and reduce fatigue between sessions.
The athletes responded incredibly well, and it was inspiring to see how quickly recovery translated into performance gains throughout the week. Whether it was helping a marathoner bounce back from hill repeats or assisting a sprinter in staying loose for speed drills, our team worked around the clock to ensure each athlete had what they needed to succeed.
We’re proud to have been part of this amazing initiative by Nike, and grateful for the trust placed in us to support some of the region’s top talent. Moments like these reinforce our commitment to being the premier destination for wellness and recovery in high-altitude environments.
